Before we start, I would like to get this out of the way: This game really makes you FEEEEEEEEEEEL like Spider-Man. On a more serious note, Spider-Man (2018) is an excellent game, through and through. From the somewhat simple yet epic opening to an expected but memorable ending, Spider-Man (2018) was a blast. I found myself appreciating almost every aspect of the game and wished the game was longer than the roughly 20 hours it took to finish. I'll start with the feature every single reviewer including myself loved: the webslinging. Using webs to move about the city was fun and exciting. While I'll admit that even towards the end of the game I still didn't have a perfect grasp on the mechanics of it, we slinging felt so satisfying and peaceful. Have you ever been in a group project where your colleagues goofed around while you ended up doing all the work? Well, one game developer took that concept to a whole other level. Back in 2016, Yang Bing shocked the gaming industry when he unveiled Lost Soul Aside(LSA), a hack and slash RPG. Not much is known about the story except that it follows the tale of Kazer, a lone wanderer and his sword which is actually a dragon. The trailer was well received for its gameplay style and graphics that were displayed but perhaps the most impressive aspect was the fact that the game was being developed by Yang Bing without any help. The title of this film is rather strange. At first glance, it looks like an odd combination of words. On the second, an image starts to form in your mind. By the third, you envision a canine continuously turning from left to right, except for its tail which remains stiff and upright in one single position. Electronic music has had its fair share of criticism and that's understandable. Some may say it is soulless and noisy. But during my carpool days, I found that there are numerous artists who can make electronic music which is joyful, emotional and catchy. Metronomy is one band who excels in making such music. Metronomy originally started with Joseph Mount, his cousin Oscar Cash and school friend Gabriel Stebbing. They released their first album, Pip Paine (Pay the £5000 you owe) back in 2006. Despite starting their career, I hold no love for it. I found the album too strange. It just wasn't enjoyable for me at all. I'm sure most people agree with me since it's the only album that is not available on the Google play store and it has very few views on YouTube, thereby indicating it's lack of popularity. Food Inc. is a documentary about the behind the scenes look of the manufacturing and production of all our daily essentials. But it's also a dark perspective on the methods used to supply food on a massive scale while trying to cut costs. As a business student, I understand the need to maximise profits. Since the start of the 2010's, we have had more superhero shows than ever. We have the DC multiverse on the CW, the MCU on Netflix and Marvel is expanding to Freeform and Hulu. It wouldn't be surprising to hear about FX trying to join this fad but FX decided to go against the standard superhero norms and give us a new experience. And that my friends, is Legion. FX Legion follows the story of David Haller, an alleged schizophrenic who discovers he has powers. After escaping a mental hospital, David gets recruited by a group of mutants to help them take down Division 3, a mutant hunting government task force. But David ends up creating more problems than helping due to his instability. First of all, I just want to say Legion really surprised me. When Breaking Bad left the airwaves in 2013, it left behind a legacy which impacted the television industry as a whole and had set up a rich mythology worth exploring. Naturally, AMC wanted to tap into that universe to further explore the world of Walter White with Better Call Saul. AMC Better Call Saul may be considered inferior by many of its predecessor's fans but it is by no means a low-quality television program. Instead of trying to milk Breaking Bad for nostalgia, Better Call  Saul manages to build its own story while having tidbits of the BB sprinkled in various episodes, either as small references or character appearances.  If it wasn't for the Breaking Bad connection I probably wouldn't have watched this show. After her successful and thought provoking breakout film, Ex Machina, I was looking forward to seeing Alicia Vikander in a new light, from kicking mental ass to kicking physical ass. A few weeks ago, I participated in a film review contest where everyone had to review this film. This was my submission: Corn island is a Georgian film which was released in 2014.  Directed by Giorgi Ovashvili and starring Ilyas Salman and Mariam Buturushvili, the film was Georgia's submission for the Best Foreign Film at the 87th Academy Awards. First things first, don't expect much in terms of story content. The opening minutes of the film explain how small land masses rise up and float on the water which are rich with soil and are used to grow and harvest crops for winter. The land masses are then washed away by rain and the cycle repeats itself come springtime. The basic premise of the film is about a man and his granddaughter growing corn on one such land mass. But much of the film focuses on the building of their house, the tilling of the land, harbouring a fugitive, planting and harvesting the crops with great emphasis on each of these situations. Over the coming months, we will receive a wide variety of information ranging from new worlds, characters and gameplay trailers. Regarding my statement above, February is the official starting point because we may be getting our first major Kingdom Hearts news. January was mostly quiet but on February 10-12, the D23 Expo will be taking place in Japan and it is highly likely we will be getting some news and/or a trailer since we received the big 'Toy Story' reveal back in D23 2017. Aside from D23, there are still a few events such as E3 and TGS where we will get more news and possibly a release date. Personally, I am just ecstatic about all this.
